Progressive deathcore duo Darko have revealed plans to release a new album and play their first-ever live shows in the United States in 2027, before taking a temporary break from the project.
The duo consists of Chelsea Grin vocalist Tom Barber and drummer Josh Miller, both of whom will soon be shifting their attention back toward their primary band.
Chelsea Grin are currently preparing for a new studio album that is tentatively expected to arrive in early 2027, with the band also scheduled to return to the road later this year.
Despite that impending activity, Darko still have plenty planned. The duo released both “Oni 2” and “Cuckoo” this year and have now confirmed that a new Darko album is also in the works for 2027.
In a statement shared on August 19th, the duo thanked fans for their continued support while outlining what’s ahead:
“thank you to all of you. for everything over the years. we’ve been able to express and have the most fun doing this project and bringing you guys music. we love doing darko and the support we get from you guys is unreal.

The specific dates and locations for Darko’s first U.S. shows have yet to be announced, but the duo have made clear that these will be their first and only U.S. performances in 2027.
In the meantime, Darko plan to continue their current album cycle with “Oni 2” and “Cuckoo”, while Chelsea Grin prepare to ramp back up.
