Deafheaven and Bosse-de-Nage are revisiting their 2012 split, with both sides of the release receiving new mixes and masters ahead of an upcoming vinyl and cassette reissue.
The reworked edition also features new artwork overseen by photographer Dylan Hausthor, giving the decade-old split a fresh presentation alongside its updated audio.
For their contribution, Deafheaven originally recorded a cover of Mogwai’s “Punk Rock / Cody.” The track has now been newly mixed and mastered by Jack Shirley, who has a long history of working with the Deafheaven catalog.
Bosse-de-Nage contributed the original composition “A Mimesis Of Purpose,” which has received a new mix from Richard Chowenhill of Agriculture.
Both newly updated tracks are now available to stream below.
The physical reissue will be available on vinyl and cassette, with both formats scheduled to arrive November 27. Pre-orders are currently available through Nowflensing.
