Earl Sharples ok cool man, so what? They’re not walking around scantily clad like some whales do.

Really? Because I recall two perfectly good albums made without Dinos involvement. Guitarists are an important part of a bands sound and identity, sure, but not nearly as important as the vocalist and Burton C. Bell was the voice of Fear Factory for over 30 fucking years. Fear Factory went with Burton. Dino should show some class and respect and rename his band.

The reason that album flopped is because Burton had an issue with Chris and Ray, enough issues that he chose songs to record separately with just the producer and then it was rushed, without any of the bands input. The reason Archetype and any other FF album sounded good is because Christian and Dino guided him with melodies. They write the music, not Burton, Burton has ideas and his ideas are shown in Ascension of the Watchers and now his solo career. Look how that’s all going. GZR worked because of Geezer having a plan.

Burton doesn’t have a plan, he has an ego, he wants to be an artist, not a musician, an artist who wants many things. Specific artists can be musicians. They are doing great. Burt is more of an entrepreneur, he wants to do comics, write stories, photography, when it fails he wants to do music, he is on record claiming to “not be a metal guy” but now his mantra moving forward is “Dark, Moody, Heavy, and Groovy” and so far its just obvious FF disses that he claims are not because “I didn’t capatalize the letters, bruh.”

Burt fucks himself and gets away with it. Burt fucks other people and gets away with it. City of Fire for instance, they had two albums, the first was awesome, the second was okay, but the second had financial issues because Burton allegedly screwed over money from the fan campaign.

Burton won’t tell you this, but Burton C Bell fucked Burton C Bell. Court documents state that he failed to list FF as an asset and thats why he lost his right to the band. So everyone got fucked because Burton decided to go bankrupt and along the way, the band name went up for auction.

Burton was happy to know this because he’s a solo artist who won’t have to care anymore, he thought no one should have the band and he was fine with that.

Then Dino, went through hell and hardships to take those rights and make them his. That upset Burton, because now he has to contend with FF existing and with someone he didn’t want owning it.

What did Burton do? Took his ball and went home, told the fucking world that he only carried on with Dino for the money. Dino started a crowd fund and boosted up the production on an album that was rumored to sound like ass before he fixed it. Dino also changed the name of the album and its artwork, Burton was probably like “No, my vision!” in a dark room wearing a turtle neck.

Burton wanted to talk about “Monolith” for years to come, share his art for it, and tell fans “gee it sucks it never came out, maybe some day you know” like he says about City of Fire’s second album Trial Through Fire, he thinks that album never got released because he fucked the pledge campaign. He tried to fuck Dino’s attempt to crowd fund the new album.

AND Dino wanted Burton to come back, he wanted to just get back to work, Burton chose to leave, he wants NOTHING to do with the band, Dino couldn’t sell it back nor share it if he wanted to. See? Burton C. Bell did that to himself, no one else, he can blame others all he wants but its still his own fault.

So yeah, Burton, I was a fan, still trying to be a fan, but Burton C. Bell is no fucking saint, he’s a bitter dude who seemingly bounces back and forth between people he’s willing to know. With Dino, Christian and Ray were whatever but now he’s distant with Dino so he’s cool with Christian again.

Ray is doing just fine btw and I’d imagine he is cool with anyone but he’s long since hung up his drum sticks and kicking back in his retirement.

Christian been trying to get back in FF for fucking ever, he LOATHED Burt and Dino for it. Christian was willing to give up guitar to be back, he had ideas for songs, blah blah blah, its not happening so why not be back in the band by himself in another language?
I’m excited for what Christian and Dino are doing because, as we established, they both are musicians, music is their passion, music is their art.

Burton’s little band however? bunch of yes man, who can’t play songs like Self Bias Resistor, Shock, or anything with too much foot work… not sure who is deciding that, its not energetic, and I don’t think it’s “Darker” sounding live. It is a pale imitation of FF.
Burt’s gonna play songs from his entite career, nothing anyone wants to hear, but its something I guess.

Ultimately, lastly, I am keen to see FF’s next return to form, they are killing it, Milo is an incredible vocalist and a man with many talents, FF is perfectly fine on festival stages.

Malcolm James Chinn Dino founded Fear Factory, therefore Dino is Fear Factory. I seen them live a few years ago, they were awesome. Cyberwaste sounded even better than the album version
