Drowning Pool and Saliva have announced a co-headlining North American tour celebrating the 25th anniversaries of their breakthrough albums ‘Sinner’ and ‘Every Six Seconds.’
Released in 2001, both albums helped define the early 2000s nu-metal and hard rock era, with each record eventually achieving platinum certification in the United States.
The tour announcement is likely to spark discussion among fans, particularly regarding Saliva’s celebration of ‘Every Six Seconds’, as none of the band’s current members performed on the original album.
Current vocalist Bobby Amaru, who joined Saliva in 2011, addressed the topic directly while discussing the upcoming tour.
“I joined Saliva in 2011, when it had already been out for a decade, but that’s exactly what makes this anniversary so special. Great music has a life far beyond the people who create it. It belongs to the fans who have kept these songs alive for 25 years.”
Amaru also stated that the tour is intended to celebrate the music and the fans who have supported it over the years.
“This tour isn’t about reliving the past or cashing in on nostalgia. It’s about honoring the music and giving the fans a chance to celebrate two great records. Twenty-five years later, that’s what this is about, not the members, but the music.”
The current version of Saliva has remained a point of contention among some fans following the 2023 passing of longtime guitarist Wayne Swinny and an ongoing public feud between the band and former vocalist Josey Scott.
Meanwhile, Drowning Pool are also celebrating a landmark album that has endured despite multiple lineup changes following the 2002 death of original vocalist Dave Williams.
Guitarist C.J. Pierce expressed his excitement for the anniversary run.
“We are beyond grateful and thankful to still be here rockin out with everyone after 25 years of letting the bodies hit the floor!”
Pierce continued:

Drowning Pool recently released a 25th anniversary edition of ‘Sinner’ and will have a limited number of vinyl copies available throughout the tour. Saliva, meanwhile, are preparing to release their new album ‘Breaking Through’ on August 14th.
