Elder are preparing to return to the road next spring after a serious health emergency forced the band to cut their North American touring plans short earlier this year. The group has now confirmed a new schedule for the postponed shows, with Blackwater Holylight once again joining them for the majority of the run.
The original tour was interrupted in September after Elder bassist Jack Donovan fell ill and ultimately required open-heart surgery. Doctors later determined that a congenital heart condition was behind many of the issues he had been experiencing. The situation forced the band to postpone the remaining dates while Donovan focused on his recovery.
With the bassist now on the mend, Elder have announced that the affected performances will take place in April 2027, alongside several newly added stops. Blackwater Holylight, who were part of the original touring plans, will also return for the rescheduled trek. The Seattle date is the exception, with the band scheduled to perform there without Blackwater Holylight.
Previously purchased tickets will remain valid for the corresponding rescheduled dates. Tickets for the newly added shows are set to go on sale Friday, November 6th at 10:00 a.m. local time, with the Cleveland date excluded from that initial on-sale announcement. Further ticketing details for Cleveland have yet to be revealed.
Elder shared the following update with fans:
“As many of you may already know, a health emergency forced us to cut our recent U.S. and Canadian tour short. We’re happy to announce that all dates from that run have now been rescheduled, along with a handful of new shows.
All tickets from the previous run are still valid.
Chicago and Denver ticket holders, please note we’ve upgraded venues for these shows!
Tickets for all other shows will be on sale Friday, November 6th at 10AM local time (except Cleveland, which will be available from a slightly later date).”
