More than two decades after its release, Evanescence’s breakout hit “Bring Me To Life” has reached another major milestone in the United States.
The RIAA has officially certified the band’s 2003 smash single 11x Platinum as of June 25, 2026, pushing the song beyond the Diamond threshold, which is awarded at 10 million certified units.
The achievement marks a significant jump from the song’s previous certification of 3x Platinum, which was issued in April 2019. It also gives Evanescence their second Diamond-certified release, following their landmark debut album ‘Fallen’, which reached Diamond status in November 2022.
Released as the lead single from ‘Fallen’, “Bring Me To Life” became the song that introduced Amy Lee and company to a global audience. The track has remained a fixture on rock radio ever since and continues to attract new listeners, surpassing one billion streams on Spotify in early 2024.
Although guest vocalist Paul McCoy of 12 Stones became an unforgettable part of the song, Amy Lee has previously revealed that the male vocal feature was not part of the band’s original creative vision. According to Lee, the addition was made after pressure from the band’s record label during the recording process.
The latest certification further cements “Bring Me To Life” as one of the defining rock songs of the 2000s and one of the most commercially successful singles in modern rock history.
