Evergreen Terrace guitarist and co-vocalist Craig Chaney has revealed that he is in urgent need of a full organ transplant—a procedure that is necessary for his survival beyond the next few years. To help manage the overwhelming medical expenses associated with the operation, Chaney has launched a GoFundMe campaign.
Addressing fans, Chaney shared the difficult news, explaining his recent absence from Evergreen Terrace’s latest show:
“Many of you were inquiring about my absence at the last Evergreen show. Unfortunately, I was in the hospital for several days undergoing tests, only to learn that I need a complete organ replacement in order to survive. Without it, I only have a few years left. I was hesitant to create this, but the expenses will be far greater than I can handle alone.”
Expressing his hopes for the future, Chaney added:
“I’d love to see my daughters graduate and witness the greatness they are destined to attain. The same goes for my nieces. I also can’t wait to get back on the road and see your faces. Anything will help. There is no finite number that we have been given—pre-care, replacement surgery, post-care…”
Fans and friends looking to support Chaney during this challenging time can contribute to his GoFundMe, which will assist in covering medical costs, surgery, and recovery expenses.
