Long Island crossover thrash outfit Extinction A.D. have officially inked a deal with M-Theory Audio, marking a new chapter following their time with Unique Leader Records. To celebrate the partnership, the band have unleashed a brand new single, “Dead Men Running,” now streaming via an accompanying lyric video.
Frontman Rick Jimenez — who also pulls double duty in This Is Hell — spoke about aligning with their new label and the group’s larger ambitions for the year ahead:
“The band is excited to be working with M-Theory Audio because we have a very specific outline for the entirety of 2026 and how we want to attack the entire year. Finding the right group to be in the foxhole with us for this marathon was extremely important.
‘Dead Men Running’ is all about diving headfirst into what you know is right for you despite all opposition from the outside world as well as internal conflict. The journey towards self-actualization is insanely difficult but there is no greater goal to seek.”
“Dead Men Running” sets the tone for what appears to be a focused and aggressive 2026 campaign, with the band hinting at a larger rollout strategy in the months ahead.
The group also have several live appearances on the books:
- 04/12 New Windsor, NY – OCNY Vets Center
- 06/20 Albany, NY – Empire Underground
- 06/27 Teaneck, NJ – Debonair Music Hall (‘NJ Metalfest’)
More details on their next full-length effort are expected soon.
