Failure Recruit Hayley Williams For “The Rising Skyline,” Announce Fall North American Tour

Alt-rock veterans Failure have returned with a new single titled “The Rising Skyline,” featuring guest vocals from Hayley Williams of Paramore.

The collaboration feels like a natural fit given Williams’ longtime admiration for the band. Paramore have previously covered Failure material, while Williams joined frontman Ken Andrews onstage last year for a live rendition of “Daylight.” She also appeared in the band’s documentary Every Time You Lose Your Mind.

Speaking on the new pairing, Andrews shared:

“Failure doesn’t do a lot of collaborations, but my friendship with Hayley, and her long standing support of the band, turned this song into a very satisfying duet. It’s probably the most delicate song we’ve ever done and her vocal approach really brought that out.”

“The Rising Skyline” appears on Failure’s upcoming seventh studio album, Location Lost, due out April 24th.

Alongside the single, the band have also announced an extensive fall North American headlining tour with Quannnic opening.
