Fire Damage Reported to Six Chicago Bulls Championship Banners at Disturbed Concert

Disturbed‘s love for pyrotechnics has made headlines again, this time for apparent fire damage at their March 8th hometown show at the United Center in Chicago, IL. While previous shows saw their flames set off venue sprinkler systems, this time, the heat reportedly scorched six championship banners hanging in the rafters.

According to the Chicago Tribune, the banners—celebrating the Chicago Bulls‘ dominant 90s championship runs—sustained significant damage during the concert. A statement from United Center representatives confirmed the issue, stating:

“United Center is currently working with the Bulls to explore options to repair these banners. While the banners will not be in place for the remainder of this season, we do anticipate them being back in place next season.”

If history is any indication, the damage likely occurred during Disturbed‘s pyro-heavy performance of “Inside The Fire“, which closed out the set.
