Thrash metal veterans Forbidden have premiered a new track, “Single Point Failure,” just days ahead of the arrival of their long-awaited self-titled comeback album. The new song comes with a visualizer and serves as the final advance preview of the record, which is set to arrive this Friday, October 23.
The upcoming album marks Forbidden’s first full-length release since 2010, ending a lengthy gap between studio albums for the Bay Area thrash metal outfit.
The band will also kick off a headlining tour on October 23 in support of the new record, bringing fellow thrash metal veterans Heathen and Void along for the run. The trek will span the United States through November, with stops in the West, Midwest, and East Coast before wrapping up in Los Angeles on November 22.
