Fuming Mouth Recruit Jay Weinberg, Announce New Album ‘The Ringing Bell’ And Release “A Blaze Of Nihilism”

Fuming Mouth have unveiled a major surprise alongside the release of their new single “A Blaze Of Nihilism.” The Massachusetts death metal and hardcore outfit have officially revealed that former Slipknot and Suicidal Tendencies drummer Jay Weinberg is now involved with the band’s next chapter, appearing throughout their upcoming album The Ringing Bell.

Speculation about Weinberg’s involvement first surfaced in May 2025 when he was photographed at GodCity Studio in Salem, Massachusetts alongside the band and producer Kurt Ballou. At the time, many assumed he was simply filling in behind the kit while drummer Keith Goldoni recovered from a fractured ankle. As it turns out, Weinberg’s contributions extended far beyond a temporary studio appearance.

Weinberg not only performs on “A Blaze Of Nihilism,” but also received a songwriting credit on the track and will appear across the entirety of the band’s forthcoming album. The song arrives with a new music video directed by Midvessel, while Ballou once again handled production duties.

The track serves as the first taste of The Ringing Bell, which is scheduled for release on July 17 through Triple B Records.
