Ghost have officially claimed the top spot on the Billboard 200 for the first time in their career, as their new album Skeletá debuts at #1 with 86,000 album-equivalent units in its first week.
A staggering 89% of those units came from traditional album sales, with 77,000 pure sales and 9,000 streaming equivalent units, amounting to 12.45 million streams of the record’s tracks. Notably, over 44,000 of those sales came from vinyl—boosted by the band’s 15+ variant pressings.
This milestone marks a new career high for the Swedish occult rockers, whose previous best came with 2022’s Impera, which debuted at #2 with 70,000 album-equivalent units (63,000 in sales).
Skeletá also makes Ghost the first hard rock act to reach #1 on the Billboard 200 in over four years—AC/DC last held the title with Power Up back in November 2020.
