Ghost have introduced a new frontperson, Papa V Perpetua, continuing their ongoing narrative with the latest chapter in their saga. Chapter 20 of the band’s multi-album storyline was revealed today, April 1st, shedding light on the fate of Papa V’s predecessor, Cardinal Copia/Papa Emeritus IV, and his new role as Frater Imperator.
In line with the band’s tradition of introducing a new frontpersona with each album cycle, some past figures have met grim fates. However, it seems Cardinal Copia has escaped with a relatively lighter fate, even if he’s now caught in some shady dealings.
Ghost are set to hit the road in support of their upcoming sixth studio album Skeletá, slated for release on April 25th through Loma Vista. The band has already mapped out an extensive touring cycle, with one controversial feature: the tour will be staged as a ‘phone-free experience.’
