Haste The Day have officially launched their return, premiering the new single “Shallows” while confirming details of their next full-length release. The track marks the band’s first new material in nearly two years and arrives alongside the reveal of their upcoming album Dissenter.
Set for release May 01st through Solid State Records, the 11-song effort will stand as the Midwestern metalcore outfit’s first album in over a decade, following 2015’s Coward. The rollout signals a major re-emergence for the band, blending their established sound with updated influences as they re-enter the studio album cycle.
Discussing the new track, the group collectively stated:
“‘Shallows’ captures the core of what we set out to create on this record — aggressive, melodic metalcore. Driven by high-energy riffs, heavy breakdowns, and a memorable chorus, the song balances nostalgia with contemporary influence. Lyrically, it confronts disillusionment, corruption, and the cost of defiance.”
The forthcoming Dissenter will feature the following track listing:
01 — “Cycles”
02 — “Shallows”
03 — “Grave”
04 — “Burn”
05 — “Liminal” (feat. Silent Planet)
06 — “Gnasher”
07 — “Heretic”
08 — “Escape”
09 — “Adrift”
10 — “Teeth”
11 — “Oblivion”
Pre-orders for Dissenter are available now as anticipation builds toward the album’s early May arrival.
