    HAYWIRE’s Austin Sparkman Punches Grabby Fan Onstage In Eindhoven, Sending Audience Member Tumbling

    A chaotic moment broke out during Haywire’s performance at the ‘Revolution Calling’ festival in Eindhoven, Netherlands last night (Nov. 22), when a fan rushed the stage and physically crossed the line with frontman Austin Sparkman. Fan-shot footage shows the crowd member initially putting an arm around Sparkman mid-song—an interaction the vocalist appeared to tolerate at first.

    The situation escalated when the fan began aggressively grabbing at Sparkman’s microphone and attempted to sing into it. Sparkman responded instantly, landing a punch to the fan’s face and pushing him back into the crowd. The impact sent what appears to be a tooth—or piece of gum—flying from the fan’s mouth as he fell away from the stage.

    Additional stage-divers approached in the moments that followed, though Sparkman kept his distance this time, even kicking one fan back toward the audience as they launched off the platform.

    Complicating matters further, Death Before Dishonor’s set reportedly included its own scuffle, with an altercation breaking out between band members and a photographer elsewhere during the event.

      It was a 🎪 circus. HC is crowd participation but if there’s no sound left due to the pile ups and chaos then it’s pretty much impossible to enjoy the music also. Might as well start a acrobatics act….or wait this was one. Old Tyme HC, not mellow but somehow more thoughtfull. Same as ultras vs. old tyme casuals/ skins, more amo now that’s over the top bs.

      There were more grabby fans. I think I heard American Nightmares singer thump the mic on someones head when they were jumped from behind on the dive step.
      Slapshot singer also had to yank the mic from some people’s grasp.

        Cia Rán I watched AN and it was a lot of hands on stuff from the crowd, but at these shows the singer gets right down with the crowd and its a pile on or they stay back and move around.
        Terror was a thousand miles an hour with everyone one on and off the stage with no issues.
        I think it just depends at that time. 🙂

      It was a great show, it was at 01:00hrs on a Sunday morning so everyone was a little wired. Some bands and singers like being bundled overs don’t.

        Matthew Rardin HR wrapped a mic stand around a dudes head, I saw Ian kick a dude in the back hard badly hurting the dude, Lee Ving fighting the crowd, saw Harley fight many times while still somehow playing a song. You probably missed the GG Alin thing, yeah THAT was ridiculous. This? This is kinda yawn.

      It was a euphoric and enjoyable move 2 see how he did that🤩

      Hardcore shows are full of violence. They wouldn’t be hardcore shows if they wernt. Sometimes people get punched for doing something stupid, sometimes people get punched for standing somewhere. It is what it is, don’t go to violent shows if you’re a soft ass bitch.

      Alot of these sites are posting this pretty common moment at a hardcore show to stir shit for views instead of promoting how much fun and awesome Haywire and the Rebellion fest is. Do better Mosh Network these negative embellishments do nothing good for our scene

      Haywire’s frontman powerbombed a guy through a table at Furnace Fest this year. I just assumed thats how they get down. The guy got up and was stage diving right after – like nothing happened. There was hella love in the pit but also it was violent.
