Michigan metal outfit Heartsick have unveiled a new music video for “Pyramid Head,” directed by Ron Stratton. As the title suggests, the track pays homage to the long-running Silent Hill survival horror franchise, with the band leaning fully into the eerie aesthetic that made the series iconic.
Frontman Alfonso Civile explained the real-life inspiration behind the song’s unsettling atmosphere:
“‘Pyramid Head‘ actually started with this creepy old merry-go-round that sat right outside my office at work. The creaking sound you hear at the beginning of the song? That’s the actual merry-go-round. Kids rode it every day, and hearing it echo through this old school building made everything feel unsettling. It just led my brain down this creepy story telling path.”
Blending their self-described “darknucore” sound with horror-driven visuals, the band delivers a tribute that longtime Silent Hill fans will immediately recognize.
Heartsick will also be taking the track on the road with the following dates:
- 02/28 Lansing, MI – Grewal Hall 224
- 03/20 Jeffersonville, IN – Wrong Side 812
- 03/28 Grand Rapids, MI – Mulligan’s
- 04/02 Akron, OH – Musica
- 04/03 Harrisburg, PA – Capitol City Music Hall
- 04/04 Gastonia, NC – The Rooster
