As I Lay Dying have announced Israeli metalcore outfit Her Last Sight as the opening act for their upcoming show in Tel Aviv. The booking marks a notable live appearance for the band following past controversy that led to the cancellation of a European run.

This past November, Her Last Sight’s planned tour of Germany was scrapped after backlash surrounding social media activity attributed to guitarist Ofek. That included reposting content asserting there are only two genders and using language critics described as ableist. The band had also faced criticism previously over anti-Palestinian commentary.

At the time, venues and supporting acts withdrew participation, ultimately forcing the cancellation of the shows. In their statement addressing the situation, Her Last Sight denied promoting harmful ideologies and framed the reaction as a misinterpretation of content they described as comedic in intent. They emphasized their focus on music and creative expression while confirming ticket refunds for fans affected by the cancellations.

With their appearance alongside As I Lay Dying now confirmed, the Tel Aviv date represents one of the band’s higher-profile bookings since that episode. Additional touring activity beyond the show has yet to be detailed.
