With just over a month to go until the release of Heriot’s highly anticipated debut album, Devoured By The Mouth of Hell, the excitement is building. Set to drop on September 27th, this UK post-metalcore outfit brought in some heavy hitters to shape the sound. Vocalist/bassist Jake Packer teamed up with Josh Middleton (Sylosis, ex-Architects) to co-produce the record, while GRAMMY Award-winning producer/musician Will Putney (Body Count, Every Time I Die) handled the mixing duties.

The third single, “At The Fortress Gate,” has just dropped, complete with a music video directed by Harry Steel. The video captures the energy and intensity of the band’s recent run on the European/UK festival circuit this spring and summer. As for the meaning behind the song, the band shared:
