During a recent livestream, guitarist Herman Li revealed his desire to reunite DragonForce‘s Inhuman Rampage lineup to celebrate the album’s 20th anniversary in 2026. This would include bringing back vocalist ZP “Zippy” Theart.
Li shared his thoughts on performing Inhuman Rampage in its entirety on a headlining tour:
“Why is it exciting? Well, first off, we get to play ‘Through The Fire and Flames’ earlier in the set instead of saving it for last. That would be a nice change. I really enjoy those songs — I think they’re great, and I’d love to play some of them again. Of course, we’ve already performed ‘Revolution Deathsquad’ recently. Oh, wait, that’s right — ‘Cry For Eternity’ will be on it too. Is that on the album? Yep. Well, that’s the tricky part — I’ll finally have to learn that song. Gotta stop talking and just learn it. But ‘Operation Ground And Pound’, ‘Body Breakdown’ — we’ve played all those tracks before. So it shouldn’t be too difficult to relearn them. It would be pretty cool.”
Li also mentioned that he’s reaching out to the members who were part of that tour lineup to see if they’d be interested in reuniting as well.
“I’ve started asking people if they want to be part of it. But a lot has changed in their lives since then. We’ll see what happens. But I promise, I’ll ask them. If it doesn’t work out, it won’t be because I didn’t try. So, that’s the plan — we’re still in the early stages of figuring it out, but we’ll see if we can make a tour happen.”
Later, after asking fans whether they’d prefer a new album or an Inhuman Rampage tour, Li joked:
“This is interesting. I’m thinking it over. Well, from what I’m seeing in the chat, it looks like you guys don’t care about us making any new music. Just kidding! But it seems like a lot of people really want to hear Inhuman Rampage played from start to finish.”
He also spoke about the possibility of ZP “Zippy” Theart joining the tour:
“We’ll reach out to Zippy and see if he’s interested in being a part of it. That’s all I can say. As for the chances of him being on the tour, I’m not sure. We’ll find out. People’s circumstances change — one minute they’re up for it, the next minute they’re not. But we’ll see. If Zippy isn’t on board, we’ll figure out a way to make it work.”
