We are Death Pheonix Rising from Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. We come from a rundown city racked with poverty and substance abuse. We are currently a two man operation consisting of Jeremy Brain and Jon Witt. Just under a decade after the dissolvement of our previous band, Deiphagia, Jeremy and Jon have matured and are back at it. Now with a more focused direction, And a clear vision of what we want our music to be. Lyrically discussing social issues, destigmatizing mental health issues overall but largely for men, and taking some deep dives into Jeremy’s own struggles with mental illness and alcohol abuse.
This project started as something to do besides work during the pandemic. Crossing multiple subgenres of metal leaping from brutality to melancholy accompanied by vitriolic growls and screams. Finally as of July 3rd 2024 our first release, Demoralizing Premature Release is live with the entire EP being put together in the back of a Freightliner. we encourage you to join us on our journey so we can make the best of this we can
