House Of Protection Debut “Afterlife” Video

House Of Protection have confirmed that their sophomore EP, Outrun You All, will arrive on May 23rd via Red Bull Records. The project sees the group—featuring former Fever 333 members Stephen Harrison (ex-The Chariot) and Aric Improta (Night Verses)—once again collaborating with Jordan Fish (ex-Bring Me The Horizon) in the producer’s chair. This follow-up to last year’s GALORE aims to further expand the band’s sonic landscape.

The latest single, “Afterlife,” made its debut online today, February 18th, alongside an accompanying music video co-directed by Aric Improta and Kevin Garcia. Speaking on the track, the band shared:

“‘Afterlife‘ was the second song we demoed, right after ‘It’s Supposed To Hurt‘. It started with just the guitar stab and the whip sound. We liked it a lot, but ultimately, we pushed to avoid heavy half-time on ‘GALORE’. We intentionally wanted to keep that whole first EP pretty fast. After our debut shows, we realized how much we missed the feeling live, so we revisited it and refined the ideas with Jordan and Nick. Now it’s one of our favorites.”

According to a press release, the EP’s title is part of a lyrical homage to Converge‘s 2004 track “Black Cloud“, which Harrison himself got inked in his skin.
