I Prevail have dropped their first new music since parting ways with clean vocalist Brian Burkheiser. The track, titled “Violent Nature”, arrives alongside a music video directed by Orie McGinness (Spiritbox, Bad Omens), and it marks a significant turning point for the platinum-certified metalcore band.
Guitarist/vocalist Dylan Bowman has stepped in to take over Burkheiser’s clean vocal duties moving forward. Speaking about the new track, unclean vocalist Eric Vanlerberghe kept it simple:
“Aggressive, fast, and heavy. All packed into 2 minutes and 10 seconds. Turn it up and put your head through the fucking wall.”
“Violent Nature” is the band’s first new music since their 2022 album True Power.
Tragically, the release comes in the wake of heartbreak, as members of the band’s management and extended team—including Dave Shapiro—lost their lives in a fatal plane crash in San Diego, CA on Thursday morning (May 22nd). The crash claimed the lives of all aboard.
