After a messy and very public fallout with former frontman Marcos Leal, Ill Niño have officially confirmed they’ve found a new vocalist.
While Tommy Vext (ex-Bad Wolves, etc.) stepped in for several recent live appearances following Leal’s departure, it seems his role was only temporary. Vext is now rumored to be refocusing on other projects—possibly returning to familiar territory.
Ill Niño shared a cryptic teaser featuring a clip of Korn’s classic track “Twist” soundtracking a shadowy silhouette of their new frontman. Though the singer’s identity hasn’t been revealed just yet, the band promises to debut new audio featuring him in the coming days.
In the meantime, the group is gearing up to hit the road in July for a co-headlining run with Powerman 5000, dubbed ‘The Taste Of Armageddon Tour’. Support will come from (hed)p.e., Priest, and The Great Alone.
Stay tuned for the official reveal—and a taste of what the new era of Ill Niño sounds like.
