IN FLAMES Officially Tap Jon Rice as Touring Drummer Following Tanner Wayne’s Departure

Swedish metal trailblazers In Flames have officially confirmed Jon Rice (ex-Job For A Cowboy, Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats) as their new touring drummer. The news follows the recent departure of Tanner Wayne, with Rice stepping in behind the kit for the band’s summer European tour. His first show took place last night (June 2nd) in Tallinn, Estonia, where he made his live debut with the group.

Rice shared via Instagram following the performance:

“Show #1 done. Thank you for the warm welcome, Tallinn. And thank you to In Flames for having me and trusting me with your tunes.”

Fan-filmed footage from the Tallinn set has since surfaced online, offering a first look at Rice’s chemistry with the band on stage. In Flames‘ current European touring plans include the following stops:
