Ex-Parkway Drive Employee Jed Gordon Avoids Jail Time After Sentencing In Minor Sex Case

Former Parkway Drive employee Jed Gordon has been sentenced after previously pleading guilty to sexual intercourse with a person between the ages of 14 and 16.

Gordon, who is the brother of Parkway Drive drummer Ben Gordon, had long been associated with the Australian metalcore band and was at one point referred to as the group’s “sixth member.” He spent years working with the band, primarily handling merchandise operations.

Earlier this year, it was revealed that the now-45-year-old pleaded guilty to charges connected to incidents involving a 15-year-old victim between November 2002 and July 2003. Gordon was reportedly around 22 years old at the time of the offenses.

According to ABC, Gordon avoided jail time during sentencing. Instead, he received a three-year community corrections order, a two-year apprehended domestic violence order, 300 hours of community service, and placement on the child protection register.

Court proceedings reportedly heard that Gordon initiated sexual encounters with the victim on multiple occasions and contacted her through text messages. One incident discussed in court involved Gordon taking the victim to a hospital for emergency contraception after a condom broke during an encounter in April 2003.

Following news of Gordon’s guilty plea in March, Parkway Drive publicly distanced themselves from him and condemned his actions. The band stated that Gordon had not toured with them since 2017, though he had continued working in their Australian online merchandise operations until his contract was terminated after they became aware of the allegations.

After criticism surrounding the band’s initial response, vocalist Winston McCall later issued a public video statement expressing support for the victim and condemning Gordon’s conduct, while also maintaining that the band had not known the extent of the situation beforehand.

In a victim impact statement presented to the court, the victim detailed the long-term emotional effects the abuse allegedly had on her life and relationships.

“The sexual and emotional abuse that he subjected me to has hindered my ability to navigate romantic, platonic, family and professional relationships.”

“Because of this I have experienced re-victimisation in emotionally abusive relationships, domestic violence or sexual harassment, assault and rape multiple times. I have been unable to care and provide for my children in the capacity that they deserve, as well as being unable to care for myself.”

The court also heard that Gordon admitted to the crimes during a legally recorded phone conversation with the victim in June 2025.

Judge Geoffrey Dunlevy reportedly stated during sentencing that Gordon had shown “significant insight” and remorse, which likely factored into the decision to avoid incarceration.
