Kamelot have released another preview of their upcoming album ‘Dark Asylum’, unveiling the new single ‘Ashen World’, which features a guest appearance from Decessus vocalist and Miss World Chile winner Ignacia Fernández.
Fernández made international headlines late last year after becoming the first-ever death metal vocalist to be crowned Miss World Chile, bringing together two vastly different worlds in the process.
Now, she lends her vocals to ‘Ashen World’, the latest single from Kamelot’s forthcoming studio album ‘Dark Asylum’, which is scheduled for release on August 28 via Napalm Records.
Speaking about the song, Kamelot vocalist Tommy Karevik said:
“It’s a deep dive into the topography of the human mind, exploring its valleys, peaks, and the void in between. It’s about breaking free from the limiting beliefs that hold us captive and creating a new reality that allows us to expand and realize our full potential.”
A music video for ‘Ashen World’ has also been released, giving fans their first look at the collaboration between Karevik and Fernández ahead of the arrival of ‘Dark Asylum’ later this summer.
