Southpaw FLHC returned to the stage on October 10 for their first live performance since publicly denying allegations of racism earlier this year.
The Florida hardcore band played a free show at Kona Skate Park in Jacksonville, Florida, alongside Forsaken Profits. The concert was announced just days before it took place, with fan-filmed footage shared on the band’s social media appearing to show dozens of attendees in the crowd.
The performance marks Southpaw FLHC’s return to live activity amid continued controversy surrounding allegations tied to drummer Harrison Linder and his promotion of clothing brand Curb Stomp Manufacturing on social media earlier this year
The brand has faced criticism over its use of Nazi-related imagery and messaging in its products, with the Anti-Defamation League previously highlighting concerns about such material in its reporting on online hate and content moderation.
In response to the backlash, Southpaw FLHC denied the allegations of racism, claiming Linder had promoted and worn the merchandise without understanding what the imagery represented or what the brand stood for. The band maintained that position after the controversy intensified.
The fallout reportedly included multiple bands withdrawing from tours with Southpaw FLHC, while the group’s label, Spinefarm, was reported to have quietly dropped the band.
Despite those developments, Southpaw FLHC have continued to push back against the accusations, while stating their intention to write new music and keep performing.
Saturday’s appearance represents a return to the stage as the controversy continues. The band’s performance alongside Forsaken Profits also drew at least some local support, according to footage circulated through Southpaw FLHC’s social media channels.
