Kelly Osbourne has spoken out for the first time following the death of her father, Ozzy Osbourne, sharing a heartbreaking tribute that draws from one of Black Sabbath’s most emotional songs.
Taking to social media, Kelly posted a short but powerful message quoting the 1972 ballad “Changes”, taken from Vol. 4:
“I feel unhappy / I am so sad / I’ve lost the best friend I ever had.” 💔
The lyrics are from the piano-driven Black Sabbath track originally written about drummer Bill Ward’s divorce. However, the song took on new meaning in the Osbourne family’s legacy when Kelly and Ozzy recorded a duet version of “Changes” in 2003. That rendition became her first No. 1 single in the UK and served as one of the most iconic moments between father and daughter—often performed live in the years that followed.
Ozzy Osbourne passed away peacefully on Tuesday at his home in England, surrounded by Sharon, Kelly, and the rest of the Osbourne family.
In a bittersweet moment, Kelly may have also unknowingly posted what would become the final video of her father alive. Just two days before his passing, she shared a clip to her Instagram Story of Ozzy eating breakfast with family, smiling as he scrolled through his iPad.
