As WWE superstar Damian Priest made his way to the ring to face off with Drew McIntyre on Sunday night at WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas, NV, he was accompanied by a true metal legend: Kerry King of Slayer.
The iconic guitarist performed “Rise for the Night,” Priest’s entrance theme, live inside Allegiant Stadium — adding even more firepower to the moment as Priest headed into the biggest match of his career. The appearance marked a major crossover between the world of heavy metal and professional wrestling, highlighting Priest’s long-standing admiration for the genre.
In a nod to that connection, Damian Priest is also set to attend Slayer’s September 20th show in Hershey, PA, as the thrash titans continue their highly anticipated return to the stage.
