Khemmis Premiere “Beneath The Scythe” Video

Khemmis have unveiled another new track from their upcoming self-titled fifth studio album. The Denver, CO doom metal outfit officially premiered “Beneath The Scythe” today, May 07th, alongside a newly released music video directed by Dan Small.

The song serves as the second preview from Khemmis’ forthcoming self-titled record, which arrives on June 12th through Nuclear Blast.

Speaking on the new single, guitarist/vocalist Ben Hutcherson shared:

“‘Beneath The Scythe‘ is a track wherein all four of us just let it rip. Dueling guitar solos? Check. Ripping drum fills? Check. A beautiful bass solo over a haunting, atmospheric interlude? Check! In some ways, ‘Scythe‘ feels like ‘classic Khemmis,’ but we made sure that the song took the listener on a journey unlike anything we’ve done before. As always, this tune is best enjoyed at high volume while holding an ice-cold beverage in a room adorned with posters of Mercyful Fate, Iron Maiden, and At the Gates (RIP Tompa!).”

Alongside the new single, the band have also launched pre-orders for an exclusive vinyl variant of the album. That pressing comes on transparent magenta vinyl with white splatter and is limited to 400 copies.
