Denver doom metal outfit Khemmis have released their new self-titled album today, June 12th, through Nuclear Blast. Accompanying the record’s arrival is the premiere of a music video for “Gilded Chambers,” one of the album’s featured tracks.
While the song is newly available in studio form, fans may already be familiar with it. Khemmis first performed “Gilded Chambers” live in December 2025 during a hometown show in Englewood, CO. Footage from that performance was later used as the foundation for the song’s official music video, which was directed by Alex Pace.
Speaking about the track and its accompanying visual, vocalist/guitarist Phil Pendergast said:
“If your aim is to write an album full of rippers, at least one has to kick off with a time honored Heavy Metal tradition — the drum intro — and resolve around a sing-along chorus. ‘Gilded Chambers’ is that track.”
“The accompanying video comes from the track’s live premiere in Denver, proving that motorcycle-ready riffs, psychedelia-tinged bridges, and death metal breakdowns make this one kill live. Check it out, then join us in the pit this summer. Horns up!”
The release comes as Khemmis prepare for an extensive run of North American and European tour dates throughout the remainder of 2026.
