The U.S. Army has opened an investigation following a viral video posted by musician Kid Rock that appeared to show two Boeing AH-64 Apache attack helicopters performing a flyover near his Nashville, Tennessee residence.
The rap-rock and country artist shared footage on social media showing the helicopters hovering across from the pool area of his mansion — a property he has previously nicknamed “The Southern White House” due to its design inspiration. In the video, Rock can be seen cheering and saluting toward the aircraft as they passed overhead.
The flyover quickly sparked mixed reactions online. Some supporters praised the moment as a patriotic display, while critics questioned whether military resources were being used appropriately and raised concerns about taxpayer expense.
Army Statement And Investigation
Following the video’s circulation, officials confirmed that military leadership is reviewing the situation to determine why the aircraft were operating near the private residence.
A statement issued by Major Jonathan Bless, public affairs officer for the 101st Airborne Division, acknowledged awareness of the footage and confirmed that an internal review is underway.
“Fort Campbell leadership is aware of a video circulating on social media depicting AH-64 Apache helicopters operating in the vicinity of a private residence associated with Mr. Robert Ritchie (also known as ‘Kid Rock’).
The command has initiated an investigation to review the circumstances surrounding this activity.
The 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) and Fort Campbell maintain strict standards for aviation safety, professionalism, and adherence to established flight regulations. We take all concerns regarding aircraft operations and their impact on the surrounding community seriously.”
Reports also indicated that the same helicopters conducted a low pass over a “No Kings” protest held in Nashville earlier that day. Officials stated that pilots routinely fly routes beyond the Fort Campbell area, though it remains unclear whether the maneuvers were intentional or coincidental.
Kid Rock Responds
Kid Rock addressed the flyover on social media while also taking aim at California Governor Gavin Newsom, writing:
“This is a level of respect that sh*t for brains Governor of California will never know. God Bless America and all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice to defend her.”
The investigation is ongoing as military officials review flight procedures and determine whether established protocols were followed during the operation.

But how about if we had our military members all Just arbitrarily deciding to go fly planes all over and all around crazy Democrats, like bunny’s place, or some other celebrities house in support, of a not so patriotic person, in your opinion, and/or each pilot or crew just took the military equipment and did whatever they wanted, flying around waving and playing, at every, and any, celebrity mansion or pedophile swamp hideout, they wanted to show up at, and show them a little support, (or maybe Tom Hanks mansion next, to show him some support) do you not see a problem with this?
