Kingdom Of Giants are continuing the rollout of their upcoming album ‘Usurper’ with the release of a new single, “10 Cent Martyr.” The track arrives with an official visualizer and finds the metalcore outfit exploring a different direction from some of their more familiar sounds.
Vocalist Dana Willax discussed the song’s approach, explaining how the band used it as an opportunity to experiment with their sound and vocal arrangements.
“This track for us was a way to branch out from the classic metalcore style riffs and try something that feels fresh once you get deeper into the album. I got to experiment with a lot of vocal tones on this song and I really enjoy how big the contrast is between JT and I on this track.”
The vocalist’s comments reference JT Gutierrez, who joined the band earlier this year, replacing Jonny Reeves on bass and clean vocals. The contrast between Willax and Gutierrez’s vocal styles is a key part of the track’s approach.
‘Usurper’ is scheduled to arrive November 13 through SharpTone Records. Kingdom Of Giants will follow the album’s release with a North American tour alongside Deadlands, Holy Wars, and Night Rider, with select dates excluding individual support acts.
