Marilyn Manson is revisiting one of the most defining releases of his career with a newly announced 30th anniversary edition of ‘Antichrist Superstar.’ The platinum-certified sophomore album is set to receive a remastered reissue on January 15, 2027, with Waxwork Records handling the release on vinyl and cassette.
Originally released in 1996, ‘Antichrist Superstar‘ remains a landmark record in Manson’s catalog, known for its abrasive industrial metal sound, confrontational themes and enduring influence on the alternative music landscape.
The anniversary edition will feature newly remastered audio and deluxe gatefold packaging, along with a bonus 24-page book containing previously unreleased photographs, handwritten lyrics and sketches from Manson during the album’s era.
Vinyl collectors will have multiple editions to choose from. A 2xLP midnight blue pressing with iridescent gold and green haze is available to pre-order through Waxwork Records. An alternate crystal-clear pressing with black smoke, along with a limited-edition vintage shirt recreation inspired by the album’s original era, is available through Revolver’s online store.
Manson offered a statement reflecting on the album’s 30-year legacy, revisiting the confrontational spirit that helped define the record.
“It’s been 30 years since I carved open the American dream and pulled out Antichrist Superstar in all its vitriolic glory. For us true believers that scar never healed and it became folklore for a culture that forgot what real danger sounded like. I am here to remind everyone.”
The anniversary reissue arrives as Manson embarks on a 30th anniversary tour celebrating ‘Antichrist Superstar.’ The run begins tonight, October 14, at The Fillmore in New Orleans, Louisiana, the city where the album was recorded.
The current schedule includes multiple-night engagements in New Orleans, San Antonio and Austin, followed by two performances at The Wiltern in Los Angeles around Halloween.
