Kittie are hinting at something special to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their 1999 debut album, Spit. The Canadian metal band shared a post on August 16th that has fans speculating about what’s next.
The post features two images: one of vocalist/guitarist Morgan Lander working in the studio with producer GGGarth Richardson (Rage Against The Machine, Mudvayne) — presumably from the original Spit sessions — alongside a new photo of the band’s current lineup with Richardson.
The caption read: “1999 but make it 2025 #somethingiscoming #XXV #fullcircle.”
While the band has yet to reveal details, fans are speculating about a possible re-recording of Spit or select tracks from it. Richardson played a pivotal role in shaping Kittie’s early career, producing both Spit and their 2001 follow-up, Oracle, which expanded the band’s sound with death metal and thrash influences.
No official announcement has been made yet, but with the anniversary looming, it looks like Kittie are preparing a full-circle moment for fans.

Tara makes Kittie something special
The crush I had on Talena…..OMFG
They need to get fallon back on guitar.
Ed Rip Campbell she’s not goin back
Ed Rip Campbell Tara is a much better guitarplayer and is with the band since 2005. She is here to stay.
Ed Rip Campbell agree
Ed Rip Campbell Tara has been in the band 20 years and no offense to Fallon, but she can outplay laps around her.
Steven Kelly doesn’t matter who plays better. Fallon wrote better songs.
Ed Rip Campbell that wasn’t just Fallon, but Fallon, Morgan, & Mercedes. They wrote the songs on Spit when they were like 12 and practiced them for years. They ended up evolving and so did their music- I’d rather get a groove metal song with elements of thrash, death, and blues than a simple nu metal song 🖤
Ed Rip Campbell Fallon has her own band. She left Kittie to do so more or less.
This is the best lineup! I loved them when they started, but they became much better musicians and have amazing stage presence! They’re so badass!
Andrew Hoxter Text me up 👍
