Knocked Loose and Denzel Curry finally brought their collaboration “Hive Mind” to the stage together for the first time on July 28th, delivering a surprise performance at Substance Skatepark in Brooklyn, NY.
The intimate event gave fans their first opportunity to witness the track performed live with both artists present, several months after the song’s release earlier this year. The skatepark setting also offered a stark contrast to Knocked Loose’s recent appearance supporting Metallica at London’s massive London Stadium on July 3rd.
Fan-filmed footage of the performance has since surfaced online, capturing the energy of the crossover collaboration in front of a packed crowd.
“Hive Mind” was originally released in February and marked another step in Denzel Curry’s growing involvement with the hardcore and metal communities. The rapper has increasingly embraced the heavier side of music in recent years, collaborating with artists across both scenes and openly expressing interest in exploring hardcore further.
Given that Knocked Loose and Denzel Curry are scheduled to tour North America together later this year, fans can likely expect additional live performances of “Hive Mind” throughout the upcoming run.
