Knocked Loose are continuing their European tour with Metallica despite a series of unexpected health and injury setbacks affecting members of the band.
The Kentucky metalcore outfit are currently opening for Metallica alongside Gojira on a massive stadium run across Europe, marking one of the biggest touring opportunities of their career to date.
However, the trek has already proven to be physically demanding behind the scenes.
Just days into the run, vocalist Bryan Garris was diagnosed with Bell’s Palsy after experiencing numbness on the left side of his face and tongue while on tour in Bulgaria. He was treated in Sofia, where doctors advised rest in order to avoid potential long-term complications. Garris received steroid treatment and acupuncture and has continued performing throughout the tour.
Despite the diagnosis, he has remained on the road and fronted Knocked Loose at every scheduled performance so far.
“I’m doing good, taking care of myself, and resting when I can. The show must go on.”
— Bryan Garris
Adding to the challenges, guitarist/vocalist Isaac Hale (also of Inclination and XweaponX) revealed that he was struck by a car while on tour. Hale shared the incident on social media, noting that although he was shaken up, he continued with the tour schedule afterward.
“Tour update got hit by a car yesterday felt bad but got this boba after and it was really good.”
— Isaac Hale
Despite both incidents occurring within the same tour cycle, Knocked Loose have not missed a single show, continuing through their European routing with Metallica and Gojira while also appearing at additional festival stops.
The band’s remaining schedule includes several major stadium and festival appearances across Europe, as they continue what has become one of the most high-profile runs of their career.
