Life Of Agony Release Live Video For Cover Of “Don’t You (Forget About Me)”

Life Of Agony have shared a newly issued live video capturing their performance of Don’t You (Forget About Me), the classic hit originally popularized by Simple Minds.

The track famously gained lasting cultural traction thanks to its placement in the film The Breakfast Club, helping cement its status as one of the defining anthems of the 1980s. The footage for this latest performance was recorded while the band toured Europe, with Leigh Brooks handling directing duties. Guitarist Joey Zampella oversaw the mixing and mastering for the release.

While the song has been part of the group’s recorded catalog for decades — appearing as the closing track on their ‘Ugly’ album — it didn’t reach their live setlist until much later. Reflecting on that, bassist Alan Robert commented:

“Even though our studio version of ‘Don’t You (Forget About Me)’ appears on Ugly, we had never performed the song live until the 30 Years of Ugly anniversary tour. Bringing it to the stage after all these years — and experiencing the live energy of the crowd — made the song one of the highlights of the set every night.”
