Following its live debut last weekend in Hamburg, Germany, Linkin Park have now unveiled the studio version of “Heavy Is The Crown” as the second single from their comeback album, From Zero. The album features the band’s newly reconfigured lineup, with the addition of vocalist Emily Armstrong and drummer Colin Brittain and is set to drop through Warner Bros on November 15th.
The track has also been selected as the official anthem for this year’s Worlds event for the popular MOBA game League Of Legends. Fittingly, the official music video ties into the lore and professional gaming scene surrounding the game. An official press release had this to say about the clip:
‘The 2024 Worlds Music Video envisions renowned League of Legends pro player Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok as a newly crowned king as he battles a legion of aspiring rulers who arrive on his doorstep. Through the story of a warrior fighting to protect a kingdom under siege, the video honors Faker and T1’s victory at Worlds 2023 while embodying the powerful spirit of League players. It also celebrates the rich history of kingdoms and dynasties in London, where the Worlds Finals will take place on November 2, 2024.’
The diamond certified alternative band has added shows in Paris, Dallas and São Paulo:
09/24 London, UK – The O2
09/28 Seoul, KOR – Inspire Arena
11/03 Paris, FRA – La Defense Arena (feat. Sleep Token)
11/08 Dallas, TX – Globe Life Field (feat. Bad Omens, Jean Dawson & Helmet)
