Linkin Park, who have been effectively been done every since vocalist Chester Bennington died on July 20, 2017, are rumored to be making a return with a female vocalist. Back in 2022, multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Mike Shinoda mentioned that the other members still talked pretty often but nothing in the works.
That seems to have changed as now, according to Orgy frontman Jay Gordon, the band has been readying for a return.
During an interview with ‘Wired In The Empire‘, Gordon mentioned the following about Linkin Park:
“Very, very cool guys and obviously a great band. They’ve been around a long time and they’re still going for it, It’s going to be tough without Chester [Bennington], but we’ll see. I hear they got a girl singer now. That’s what I heard.”
Gordon then walked back his comments stating:
“Don’t quote me on that. I’m not sure who the singer is going to be, but I heard it was gonna be female. They might just try to move on like that. That ought to be interesting.”
We will keep everyone posted regarding whether or not the rumors turn out to be true.
