Matty Matheson-Led Hardcore Act PIG PEN (ft. Alexisonfire, Etc.) Drop “Venom Moon Rising”

Pig Pen — the Canadian hardcore outfit fronted by celebrity chef/actor Matty Matheson — have just dropped their latest single “Venom Moon Rising”. Released this morning, June 17th, the track serves as the final preview of the band’s upcoming debut album, Mental Madness, which is due out on June 27th.

Joining Matheson in Pig Pen are some heavy hitters from the Canadian punk and hardcore scene: Wade MacNeil (Alexisonfire, etc.) on guitars and backing vocals, Daniel Romano on guitars, Ian Romano on drums, and Tommy Major on bass.

To celebrate the release of Mental Madness, the band have lined up a pair of record release shows ahead of their appearance at Furnace Fest this fall. Here’s where you can catch them live:
