Ex-Falling In Reverse Guitarist Max Georgiev Issues Second Statement Responding To Ronnie Radke Allegations

Former Falling In Reverse guitarist/vocalist Max Georgiev has issued a second public statement addressing recent allegations made by frontman Ronnie Radke regarding the circumstances surrounding his exit from the band.

Radke initially went public with his claims on social media, alleging that Georgiev was dismissed after admitting to having dated a minor years prior to joining the band. Radke wrote:

“For those that are wondering why I fired @maxgeorgiev the guitarist, it’s because he admitted to sleeping with a minor 10 years before he was in my band when he was 27 years old. Have fun with that.”

Georgiev responded earlier this week, posting a statement on Tuesday, January 6, firmly denying any illegal conduct and disputing Radke’s characterization of events. In that message, Georgiev stated that he was 23 years old at the time of the relationship in question and living in Quebec, Canada, adding that he has never engaged in illegal behavior involving a minor.

Following Georgiev’s initial response, Radke addressed the situation again during a livestream, doubling down on his allegations and disputing Georgiev’s account of both his age and the circumstances, claiming parental involvement and deception were factors.

On January 8, Georgiev shared a second, more detailed statement, again denying Radke’s claims:

“Anyone who believes that I was physically involved with a minor at age 27 while having no concrete evidence of it is delusional.

I met someone who turned eighteen a few months later while I occasionally dated her. This was fifteen years ago, when I was 23 in Quebec, Canada.

Her parents never confronted me because the girl only had a mother. I never lied to her or her daughter about anything.”

Georgiev also suggested that the allegations may not be the true reason for his departure from Falling In Reverse, pointing instead to professional circumstances in early 2024:

“However, perhaps this is the underlying reason why I was fired: By April of 2024, it was time for me to leave FIR. I took the initiative to learn nine songs of another band.”

As part of his defense, Georgiev shared what he described as supporting evidence, including video footage of handwritten musical notation for songs by Disturbed and multiple guitar performance videos uploaded to a Google Drive folder dated May 6, 2024. Falling In Reverse toured with Disturbed during the early months of 2024.

It is also worth noting that the age of consent in Quebec, Canada—where Georgiev says he resided at the time—is 16.

Outside of the controversy, Georgiev has recently been focusing on his solo career. His latest release, “Believe In You,” arrived online last month.
