MEGADETH Debut New Song “Tipping Point,” Announce January Release For Final Album

Thrash metal legends Megadeth have officially entered the final chapter of their storied career. The band—one of metal’s “Big Four” alongside Metallica, Slayer, and Anthrax—have announced plans to retire following a farewell tour supporting their upcoming seventeenth and final studio album.

Set for release on January 23rd through BLKIIBLK, the self-titled record will feature 11 new tracks, marking the closing statement of the multi-platinum icons. The first taste of the album, “Tipping Point,” premiered on October 2nd, offering fans a glimpse into Megadeth’s final era.

Frontman Dave Mustaine shared the following on the new single:

“We all have different ‘tipping points’ and they may vary from day to day. I think we’re all being pushed to the edge right now, and it’s easy to lean into that feeling. But it’s important not to let things get you down.”

The band are currently touring Europe and the UK alongside Disturbed on the 25th anniversary tour for The Sickness, with dates as follows:
