Meshuggah drummer Tomas Haake and guitarist Mårten Hagström are set to make a special appearance at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con.
The pair will be on hand for a fan signing session at the Reigning Phoenix Music/Stern Pinball booth (#4029) on Friday, July 24, 2026 at 3:30 p.m.
The appearance coincides with the unveiling of a limited-edition Meshuggah x Transformers collaboration shirt created in partnership with Hasbro. The design celebrates two milestones: the 40th anniversary of The Transformers: The Movie and the 30th anniversary of Meshuggah’s landmark album ‘Destroy Erase Improve’.
According to the announcement, the shirt’s artwork draws inspiration from Megatron’s transformation into Galvatron in the 1986 animated film, a concept the band have linked to both the title and themes of ‘Destroy Erase Improve’. The artwork was created by acclaimed Transformers and G.I. Joe artist Ken Christiansen.
In addition to the exclusive apparel, Reigning Phoenix Music will also offer convention-exclusive splatter vinyl editions of Meshuggah’s recently remastered reissues of ‘Destroy Erase Improve’ and ‘Catch Thirtythree’.
The Comic-Con appearance comes amid continued celebrations surrounding Meshuggah’s classic catalog, with both albums recently receiving updated remastered editions.
