
Metallica has set August 28th as the release date for their S&M2 set. The band reunited with the San Fransisco Symphony last September at the Chase Center and filmed the experience with music director Michael Tilson Thomas and conductor Edin Outwater. The concert brings orchestral renditions of various Metallica songs from the two shows at the venue and pays homages to the 20th anniversary of the original S&M from 1999.
The band had Joe Hutshing re-edit the live film aspect of the set from what was shown at the original screening back in October. You can pre-order here.
