Metallica traded stadiums for intimacy last night, performing a special 14-song set at The Stephen Talkhouse in Amagansett, NY, to celebrate the launch of their new ‘Maximum Metallica’ station on SiriusXM. The outdoor tent show hosted roughly 250 fans, including fan club winners, industry friends, and a celebrity-heavy guest list featuring Sir Paul McCartney, Michael J. Fox, Sylvester Stallone, Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers), and radio legend Howard Stern.
The set highlighted classics, deep cuts, and even a playful tribute to Ozzy Osbourne, with bassist/vocalist Robert Trujillo and guitarist Kirk Hammett teaming up for a “Crazy Train” doodle. Fans in attendance were treated to a full 14-song lineup:
