Metallica Reveal Advance Screenings for Upcoming Documentary ‘Metallica Saved My Life’

Metallica have unveiled the first look at an upcoming documentary film that highlights the deep connection the legendary thrash outfit shares with their fans. The band once again teamed up with director Jonas Åkerlund (‘Lords Of Chaos’, ‘Polar’) for the feature, which has officially been titled ‘Metallica Saved My Life’.

The documentary focuses on fans of Metallica and the impact the band’s music has had on their lives over the past 40 years.

Advance screenings of the in-progress film are set to take place this spring in various cities. A list of participating theaters can be found at fathomentertainment.com.

Please note, the screenings will be phone-free events, with this statement accompanying the announcement:

“This is a phone-free event. We want to keep the experience special and spoiler-free for fans around the world. No distractions—just you, the film, and what we hope you find as an unforgettable experience.”

The completed film is expected to arrive later this year.
