Thrash metal legends Metallica may be gearing up to bring their iconic live show to The Sphere in Las Vegas, NV, in fall 2026. Multiple outlets, including Vital Vegas, have reported that the Rock & Roll Hall of Famers are reportedly scheduling a series of dates at the cutting-edge venue, known for its immersive wraparound visuals and 4D effects.
Kirk Hammett, the band’s guitarist, hinted at the possibility earlier this year during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. When asked about performing at The Sphere, he said:
“Oh, heck, yeah! That’s a great example of how venues are changing. That’s using modern technology to the fullest, to really up the levels of production and entertainment, connected to AI and making it a crazy experience.”
While nothing has been officially confirmed yet, industry insiders suggest the talks and bookings are progressing well, making a Metallica run at The Sphere an exciting prospect for 2026.
