    Former Misfits Vocalist Michale Graves Addresses Backlash Amid European Tour Pressure

    Former Michale Graves has released a statement responding to what he describes as an “aggressive online campaign” surrounding his upcoming European and UK performances. The singer — best known for his tenure fronting Misfits — addressed mounting criticism and alleged pressure placed on venues ahead of his planned Sticks and Stones UK, Spain & Portugal Tour 2026 dates.

    According to Graves, several organizations and activists have contacted venues hosting the shows in an effort to see them canceled. In his message, he said his focus remains rooted in live performance and fan connection rather than the political controversies that have followed parts of his solo career.

    His full statement read:

    Over the past days, I’ve become aware of an aggressive online campaign of organizations and individuals focused on my upcoming shows in Europe. I respect that people may hold different opinions or choose not to attend these shows. I am very concerned that venues, staff members, and people simply doing their jobs are now being placed under significant pressure and distress and in some instances being threatened to simply show up at there job.

    I want to be very clear: my shows are about music, community, and shared passion. I do not promote violence, hatred, or harm, and those who have attended my performances know that my focus has always been bringing people together through music. All are welcome.

    The live music scene should remain a safe and inclusive space for everyone — artists, fans, venue staff, and local communities alike. No one should feel unsafe or intimidated for participating in or supporting live music events.

    If my music is not for you, I fully respect your choice not to attend. However, I respectfully ask that disagreements remain peaceful and that the hardworking people behind these venues are treated with respect.

    I look forward to performing for those who wish to be there and sharing music in a positive, safe and respectful environment.

      He’s the one that decided to be loud and proud about his politics, there are plenty of musicians who don’t. I saw an interview several years ago where he said “I’m a proud boy” and now he claims he was never a member.

        Jeffrey Reyes only several years ago… had you said you had pride, someone believed you were a homosexual. When I’d first seen it around, I just thought it was a violent gay guys that came with the bathroom bill. To enforce it or something.
        It wasn’t until Wikileaks posted a 3% white leak that I really saw it. In that, they were flying prostitudes in through a religious recovery group to go and live with the men who’s details had been published.
        Then I was like… Oh Internet, I saw what you did there. That’s dank af bruh… dark. Don’t open, dead inside dark.

I stopped supporting him after all his bullshit… ive never, ever.. seen someone build themselves up after exiting a huge role.. only to burn it all down with gasoline.       I like that first album he did with the misfits  at that time I support his right to play live, but if you voice your opinions, you can expect that not everyone is going to agree with you and you could get backlash. Same thing with Roger Waters or Al Jorgensen or whoever. Does anyone know ZZ Top’s political views? I sure don’t.

      Met Michale Graves in the summer of ’97. Neither one of us had a pen so he and i both walked the parking lot until we found one. He seemed like a very generous, humble person to me. Yall can talk bad about him all you want, but i prefer to remember the good times.

      He played 2024 a show in Israel and I was there ( I’ve moved from Germany to Israel a few years ago) . Everybody was enjoying the show and nobody was talking even about politics. I think people are not able anymore to understand, that political views and music are not connected automatically.
